And then I forgot to post about it, due to the sheer exhaustion.
So now, I will get ya'll up to speed on what took place last Tuesday!

Second, you should know that my momma (sweet, sweet momma who volunteered to go with me,) and I arrived 5 hours early.
Five.
That's dedication.
We did a little shopping, scoped out the bookstore, ate dinner, went back to the bookstore and figured out we needed to buy a book/place in line, and were assigned to group 14.
There's 25 people in a group.
We knew right then and there it would be a long night!

I saw Angie, from Bring the Rain, and Jessica Turner, from The Mom Creative, and just about peed in my pants.
I was too chicken to go say hi. Plus they looked like they were having some much needed friend time, and I know how important that is!

Seriously slow.
Like, in the first hour, only 2 groups had gotten through. TWO!
I guess people started leaving, because the line started moving quicker, and, before you knew it (well, it was 3 and a half hours later,) it was finally our turn!

I brought up our books, and smiled and nodded at the genuinely nice Ree Drummond.
Did I mention I about peed in my pants? I'm not much for strangers, none the less famous strangers!
And then I pulled out that sacred piece of paper I had been carrying all night, just for my big sister.
There was an audible gasp from the audience (okay, the hundred or so people in line,) because I think they thought someone was actually getting proposed to right then.
But, in the end, I came away with the picture.
Even if I was so nervous I forgot to have my momma get in the picture.
Poor Momma.
Such a team player!
We got home at a little bit past 11 and headed straight to bed! I feel like I have a vested interest in Ree's site now, and find myself checking and reading it even more!
What a great experience!

Oh my goodness I am so so jealous!! Ha, how much fun!! She is hilarious, and I am so glad you got the chance to meet her. =)
SO AWESOME!!!! I bought my mom Dee's cookbook for her birthday and she started screaming when she unwrapped it.
Aww, you saw Angie & Jessica? Too cool.
Glad you had such a great time! Sounds fun. :)
FYI: the "Crash Potatoes" recipes on PW's website are soooo yummy!
I just love the sign idea - very creative! How exciting! I'm not very good around famous people - I get really quiet, and they probably think I don't even like them at all.
