I've taken on a new habit of watching Romantic Comedies late at night as I'm blogging and catching up on writing.
Yesterday, was Picture Perfect, with Jennifer Aniston, which ended up being really cute! There are few romantic movies that just make my heart swoon, but for some reason I was SO into the male protagonist in this movie! I mean, I usually won't admit it, but sometimes I really wish that the guy would NOT end up with the girl. Just for kicks and giggles.)
And, tonight, or as I type this, I am watching Notting Hill, because I have a soft spot in my heart for Hugh Grant.
And England.
And for books.
And traveling.
But I digress.
Somehow I've gone all of these years without seeing it. But I did own the soundtrack. Don't ask.
And I'm really enjoying it, but I don't think I'll be able to finish it all tonight. Much too late.
And, all of these "chick," flicks have gotten me thinking of my favorites. They would be, in no certain order:
Return to Me
How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days
A Walk to Remember
Sweet Home Alabama
The Notebook
Miss Congeniality
and many others.
I'm looking for some new chick flicks to watch late at night...any suggestions?

I watched One Fine Day yesterday. Its on my list of faves. And I am a big fan of any Jane Austen book turned movie, though I particularly enjoy the new Pride and Prejudice.
Oh, and You've Got Mail.
Those are my must-see 3.
Try...
Pride & Prejudice - the BBC's 5hr version with Colin Firth.
Bride & Prejudice - the Bollywood version of P&P.
Fool's Gold (Love it, Kate Hudson & Matthew McConaughey have such great theater chemistry).
Win a Date with Tad Hamilton (a good laugh)
That Thing You Do - sort of a chick flick, sort of not. Good movie. Tom Hanks wrote/directed. Music's great!

nights in rodanthe!
hmm i'll have to think some more! :)
I love all these movies!! Nothing like a good chic flic late at night and blogging! If we lived closer we could have a girls night with one of these movies!!
I HEART Serendipity - you would love it, SO SO SO Good!!!!!
Oh how I love chick flicks! :)
Some of my favorites:
You've Got Mail
No Reservations (so good!)
the Wedding Planner
Sabrina (w/ Harrison Ford)
Return to Me and Miss Congeniality were already on your list, but those are definitely two of my favorites! :)
Oh I love Notting Hill...I need to watch that again, I haven't seen that movie in years. I think you've got most of my favorites on your list but I love Serendipity as well! (even Hubby enjoyed this one!)
I love runaway Bride!! :-) It's always my go to movie, as well as Pretty Women!! All time fav!! :-)
"Definitely, Maybe" is a great Romantic comedy starring Ryan Reynolds. In it, he tells his daughter how he met the three loves of his life, and she (and the audience) have to guess which is the mother. It was a romantic comedy that kinda broke the formula, and I thoroughly enjoyed it.
Some others:
"You've Got Mail"
"Somebody Like you" (if you've ever been though a break-up you'll like this film)
"Serendipity" such a sweet movie
And of course the ultimate winner of Rom-Coms "When Harry met Sally"
I LOVE Fools Rush In. One of the best!
I love Heathers, Sliding doors and The Holiday! all great chick flicks!
I love the note book :) amazing and notting hill is great!!!
You named most of my favorites in your post. :)
I'm a total sap for chick flicks! I really need a long Saturday/Sunday of vegging with popcorn and girlie movies! SO much cheaper then therapy!
P.s. There is an award waiting for you on my blog! Dont feel obligated to play along, just wanted to honor you :)!
One of my all time favorites is Steel Magnolias! I laugh and cry at the same time during that one! Can't WAIT to see you tomorrow!!!!! xoxoxo
Chick flicks are my fav! I love Sweet Home Alabama!! So adorable!
Confessions of a Shopaholic is really cute! I like that one. And Pride and Prejudice is probably my all-time favorite. If you like Hugh Grant and England you should see Sense and Sensibility with Emma Thompson - he's in it, and I like it alot!
I ADORE Notting Hill- for all the same reasons you do. Some of my other favs are You've Got Mail (love those books), Hitch and She's the Man.
p.s. I love you and love actually. I really like movies with love in the title i guess lol
Sabrina w/Harrison Ford
Jane Eyre - BBC - Toby Stephens
Dear Frankie - Gerard Butler
Thirteen Going on Thirty
Win a Date With Tad Hamilton
Nacho Libre - HAHAHAHA!
